Hayfever, Cold, Sinus - Breathe Easy

Hayfever, colds, pollen
Pollen

Spring and Summer a wonderful time for most of us but for many people it's a time of breathing problems, runny noses and streaming, itching eyes. Hayfever is miserable, colds can linger in the summer months.

I have formulated a quick to make recipe to help you breathe easy during these months, although the same recipe can be used for colds and flu in the winter months.

Ingredients :

25g Shea Butter

35g Coconut Oil

25g Peppermint infused oil

10g Jojoba (vegan) or Beeswax

Breathe Easy Essential Oils of Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Thyme and Clove Bud

Melt the Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Peppermint Oil and Beeswax on a medium heat until they slowly melt. This will help prevent the Shea Butter going grainy when it cools.

When cooled add 1g of your Beathe Easy essential oils and stir thoroughly.

Pour into clean, sterlised 100ml jars while still warm. Apply lid and leave to set.

Use :

This herbal balm can be used directly from the jar. Massage into the chest or back area, apply small amount under the nose or rub into the soles of your feet.

Melt a teaspoon of the herbal balm into a bowl of very hot water. Lean over the bowl and gently breath in the vapour coming off - cover your head with a towel.

The Breathe Easy essential oils can be added to your diffuser for added benefit.
